... I figure this is as good a forum as any:
SELL MY CAR - MAKE $500.
I'm opening this to all of my friends. The car is a 1965 Mercedes-Benz 230SL. I want at least $16,000 for it. If you refer a person to me, and that person buys it for $16,000 or more, you make $500. Email or call me if you need more details. If you know the person really well, we might even be able to cut a deal.
Also, the used car manager at the Nissan dealership can go fuck himself. $3000. Jesus Christ.

I'm pretty happy with that.

So my boss just (mis)quoted Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure while talking about the weekend's basketball upsets.
LaToya: Everyone I know is bummed out about how badly their bracket is doing. Me: Yeah. I'd figure as much after this weekend. Craig (my boss): Something strange is afoot at the Circle K... Me: *falls out of chair laughing*
And yes, Craig, strange things are indeed afoot at the Circle K.

So... my boss can't look at me without laughing. I think that's a good thing.
Also, the temp company brought us about ten boxes of Girl Scout cookies.
Also, we're going to leave shortly for either the Salvadorean buffet, Guapo's, or Taco Bell.
Also, my mustache/flavor saver/parted hair/pocket protector/putrid tie combo has to be one of the top five most hideous things I've ever worn in public.
(Also, I can't believe other people are celebrating this holiday.)
Woohoo. Party at my place tonight!

Dear suckers who didn't come to Alchemy,
You missed a really good time. Ask li'l Ms. destijlgoats (she can't be wrong), and she'll tell you the same. Sorry you were busy being boring doing whatever else it was you were doing, but that was your poor choice. I won't harp on it anymore. I'll just say that you missed out. I still numberthree you anyway.
Love,

Alright. For those of you coming up/out tonight (you know who you are), if anyone's interested, there will be a few minutes of fun at La Casa de Chris White and Matt Thomas, certainly at least before and quite possibly after the show. We live three blocks away from the Black Cat, so I know you'll be in the neighborhood anyway. Plus, you can park in the sketchy lot. And I promise, this time the welder's aporn won't make an appearance.
Also, if anyone wants to crash at our place, feel more than free to, as we have couches and lots of blankets. If you need directions, I'm sure you can figure out some way to get in touch with me.
And I'm with bluemonday1047. I say we wear suits.
***EDIT*** To get this to the top of the page, I'll be home from work between 7:00 and 7:30, so any time after that is fine. Or you could come beforehand and hang out on the sidewalk. Your choice.
***MORE BREAKING NEWS*** If I have your ticket, well, you'll just have to come to my house, unless you want to try to coordinate meeting there. YAAAYYYY!!!!!!!!1! I have a captive audience!!!!!

So everyone remembers that hilarious "Hey Ya, Charlie Brown" video, even though it's sooooo last week? Well, it's been down for a day or two or five, and I really want to see it again. So, my question is, who has it, and how can you give it to me?
I'll owe you a "favor"...

Dear this weekend,
Thank you for all the weird, fun, and unreasonable situations you let me find my way into. Tell the party that I had a great time, and thanks for the general drunken fun that it gave me, but that I think it's a dick for putting that metal splinter in my penis. Everything'd be cool if it would just apologize. That's all I want. Anyway, hope things are well with you, and I can't wait to see you (and the party) again.
Love,
Matt

You are a Theory Slut. The true elite of the postmodernists, you collect avant-garde Indonesian hiphop compilations and eat journal articles for breakfast. You positively live for theory. It really doesn't matter what kind, as long as the words are big and the paragraph breaks few and far between.
What kind of postmodernist are you!? brought to you by Quizilla

I'm four beers deep into the night, and I haven't even left work yet.
Ahh, the beauty of the legal profession. Last week, I cruised in at just over 38 hours billed, because things were slow, and were supposed to be until mid-next-month. Major decisions came through last Friday, though. It's seven days later, and at about 2 PM, I passed 40 for this week. I get to work late tomorrow, and then on Saturday and Sunday too. Looks like a 70 hour week, or so.
By the way, if I hit 70, that will pay for a.) next month's rent, b.) all of my Christmas shopping, and c.) a nice chair or half of our housewarming party in January. Don't be jealous (if you are); gloating over money is all I have right now. I haven't seen any of my friends - even my roommate - since Sunday.
Anyway, this is really just a warning shot for a big "real weblog" post I feel coming on. It may not happen tonight. It may not happen tomorrow. It probably won't happen this weekend, because, let's face it, recent history has proven that I'll either be at work or intoxicated. But it will happen soon. Just you wait and see...

I'm posting this as a public service. The Government Department Office sells blue books. It's in Morton basement, on your left if you walk in from the doors facing Jones and most of new campus. It's usually open at eight. I imagine some other departmental offices do as well, but I know for a fact that (again) the Government Department Office sells blue books.
That is all.
